Men -85 kg

Weight category under 85 kg (17 participants)

The winners of previous two World Championships in this weight category are:

  1. Saveyliev Dmitry (Russia);
  2. Riadnov Igor (Russia).

In this weight category, one of the most dangerous fighters is Vladimir Artyushin from Kazakhstan. If he manages to cope with the rules of KWU, then he is guaranteed a medal.

A very interesting and capable fighter competitor is Alexander Drozd, a student of the KWU world champion Dmitry Saveliev and coach of champions Victor Lutinsky. A rattling mixture of his own abilities and experience of eminent mentors may well turn into gold of the Championship.

Japanese fighter Shohta Mizuno is also probable fighter for a medal. He is able to defeat any opponent, he always aims at quick victory, so he is often at risk and extremely dangerous. He can easily move favorites and decorate the Championship with his fights.

Tatami is the place for a feat. Whoever will be ready for the feat on the day of the tournament will win a medal.
