Injury failed Iskren Ivanov’s debut at SENSHI, Georgi Georgiev is replacing him

KWU Professional League  “The Cup of Senshi”

will be held on July 3-4, 2019 in Kamchia (Bulgaria) in a framework of the XIII KWU International Summer Camp (30.06.-07.07.2019).

For all participants of the Professional League ”The Cup of Senshi”, there will be training sessions according to the rules of the KWU International Professional League under the guidance of Sensei Peter Aerts “The Dutch Lumberjack”, Sensei Sem “Semmy” Schilt, Shihan Marin Mitev – 6 dan, Shihan Ivo Kamenov – 6 dan, Shihan Asen Asenov – 6 dan, Sensei Aleksandr Pichkunov – 4 dan and Sempai Nikolay Atanasov – 2 dan

Serious neck injury will prevent Iskren Ivanov from climbing into the ring of the upcoming karate Kyokushin fight gala SENSHI. Instead of Iskren, Georgi Georgiev from Varna will fight in the category up to 65 kg.

Georgiev is 1.65 cm tall and is one of Bulgaria’s young promising fighters. His successes are mainly in the field of kickboxing, but at the same time, he has considerable experience in other martial arts. He has been a champion of the Bulgarian Muay Thay State Championship and has a green belt in karate.

Georgiev will make his debut on the professional ring of SENSHI against the Russian fighter Kiril Grigoriev. In case of a victory, the Bulgarian will have to face the winner of the duel between Saipudin Dzhavatkhanov (Turkey) and Viktor Javier (Brazil).

All SENSHI fights will be broadcast live on www.fite.tv, at www.boec.bg, as well as on our website www.kwunion.com. The first day of the two-day battle gala evening will start at 8 p.m. with the qualification duels and will continue on July 4, at 8 p.m. with the semi-finals and finals. The entrance to the gala is free.
