Andy Hug high kicks tutorial (video)

Andy Hug is by far one of the most famous Kyokushin karatekas to ever do it.

The late great Swiss was known for his fast and precious high kicks that won him many kickboxing fights throughout his notorious career. Hug wasn’t as tall as Peter Aerts, Ernesto Hoost or Semmy Schilt, but he was able to control the distance of the fight like no other thanks to his high kicks, especially the axe kick.

Hug won the 1996 K-1 Grand Prix, defeating one of the most vicious kickboxing competitors – Bart Vale, Duane Van Der Merwe, Ernesto Hoost, and Mike Bernardo.
