Star fighters from Japan and Russia at SENSHI 5

A true combat show with international participation – this is going to be produced in the fourth match of SENSHI 5 professional fight night.

The event is set to take place on February 22 at the Varna’s Palace of Culture and Sports, Bulgaria.

One of the stars is KWU World Karate Kyokushin Champion for 2019 – Russian Vitalii Ishakhneli. He will face Japan’s four-time Karate Kyokushin Kan champion Masaki Fuji. The clash of these two titans is up to 95 kg and will be conducted under the KWU Full-Contact rules. It will be broadcasted live for free on the international online television FITE.TV and on www.boec.com.

Vitalii Ishakhneli is well known to martial arts fans. In addition to the KWU World Championship title in Karate Kyokushin, last year, he became KWU Champion of Russia, a silver medalist at the IFK Championship of Russia and managed to win the SENSHI Cup at the two-day tournament. In 2018, his victories were no less significant: first place at the IFK Karate Kyokushin of Russia, of Europe and the KWF Kyokushin Karate World Cup. In 2017, he also won the IFK World Championship and finished second at the KWF Kyokushin Karate World Cup.

Masaki Fuji of Japan is a multiple Karate Kyokushin Kan champion in the Land of the rising sun. He is also a silver medalist at the 2013 KWU World Karate Kyokushin Championship.

On February 22 at the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna, fans of martial arts will see 9 entertaining KWU SENSHI, KWU Full Contact, WAKO PRO K-1 Rules, and WAKO PRO Low kick matches. SENSHI style bouts are under the rules of KWU International Professional League, which means elbows, head hits and throws are allowed.

The professional fight night will begin at 7:00 pm local time. World stars in martial arts will arrive in Bulgaria for the fifth edition of SENSHI. The honorary guests include three Dutch kickboxing legends – four-time K-1 champions Ernesto Hoost and Semmy Schilt, as well as three-time K-1 champion Peter Aerts.

They will be joined by Shihan Aleksandr Pichkunov – Secretary-General of Kyokushin World Union. The legendary fighter has been a finalist in K-1 Grand Prix in 2007 and 2008. The Russian is also a bronze medalist form a Karate Kyokushin World championship in 2005. He’s a silver medalist from the Russian Kyokushin championship in 2004 and winner of the Russian Kyokushin cup in 2001. The guests will be referees of some of the battles.
