Dear Hanshi Steve Arneil!
The story of your life path is a remarkable example for all of us. It is an example of dedication and commitment to the work of your life, which has always been and remains for you Kyokushin.
As a student of Sosai Masutatsu Oyama, you were one of the first to complete the hyakunin-kumite, thus perpetuating your name in history and becoming a role model for karatekas all over the world.
Pioneering the development of Kyokushin in Europe, you made a huge contribution to the expansion of representatives of the International Federation of Karate (IFK) around the world, and it is vastly due to your efforts that the Kyokushin World Union can now effectively work towards uniting athletes from different countries, holding joint competitions, seminars and other events around the world.
It is a deep honor and great happiness for all of us to have the opportunity to express our gratitude and endless respect to you. Thank you for the experience that you continue to share, for your lessons and guidance, and, of course, for your sense of humor and endless cheerfulness that infects everyone around you.
Despite the fact that you stepped down and handed over the position of President to Shihan David Pickthall, you will forever remain the founder and the legendary leader of the International Federation of Karate (IFK) and, I am convinced, we will always be able to rely on your experience and wisdom in the future.
We promise to be decent successors to your work and continue your efforts on developing and uniting the world Kyokushin.
OSU!
Kind regards,
