Desire and resilience, the combo of Kyokushinkai Karate, to achieve excellence

Guess Autor: Gaëtan Sauvé

To be a successful warrior, you need two things: your resilience and your desire to excel. Your resilience is what keeps you going when things get tough, and your desire to excel helps you fight hard and win your battles. Find out in this article why you need these two values in your (inner) warrior code.

Some people are better than others because they have more desire to do well. The desire to excel is what makes you try harder and practice more. But that in itself is not enough. You also need to be resilient, which means you have to keep trying even when you fail. Kyokushinkai Karate training is a good example of this. It is a martial art that requires a lot of practice and resilience to master.

Desire and resilience are two important things to have if you want to succeed in Kyokushinkai Karate or any other martial art or sport. Throughout this article, I will be talking about Kyokushinkai Karate. But if you think creatively, you can transfer this to any discipline of your choice where you need to perform.

To succeed, you must have a strong desire to learn and improve, and you must be resilient enough to continue even when you feel tired or frustrated. Kyokushinkai Karate is a difficult martial art, so it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to achieve excellence.

Kyokushin Karate is a martial art that focuses on extreme conditioning, resilience, and the desire to become better physically, mentally, and spiritually. It is known for its difficult training methods, which can often leave students bruised and exhausted. Practitioners are known for their discipline and ability to endure physical pain, which helps to create resilience. Resilience is one of the most important elements, along with desire, to excel.

Kyokushin Karate is not only known for its graceful movements but its emphasis on self-discipline. It is precisely this self-discipline that creates resilience and gives us the strength to achieve our goals. Indeed, his teachings have helped many people to succeed in other areas of their lives.

In this article, we will discuss the notion of desire and resilience, which is the combo for achieving excellence.

If you wish to embark on the path of Kyokushin Karate, your desire to improve yourself is essential. By taking this path, you learn to set ambitious goals and work tirelessly to achieve them. Excellence is at the heart of everything you do, and you must have a strong desire to be the best version of yourself and to excel in your school’s program.

The true success of the practitioner comes from the realization of their unique potential and the notion of helping others to do the same. We strive to help our partners reach their full potential as martial artists. Why? Working with the best partners will also improve our position.

The most resilient people are the most successful

The key to success in Karate Budo is discipline. The Kyokushinkai style requires a high level of resilience to continue through difficult times. If you can maintain your discipline and continually put forth an effort, you will succeed.

Kyokushinkai is known for its disciplined and rigorous training methods that emphasize the importance of effort, discipline, and tenacity of spirit, by-products of resilience.

Kyokushinkai fighters endure a grueling training regime and push their bodies to the limit to develop their resilience.

4 reasons to train harder

1. Hard training and contact fighting are great ways to improve both your resilience and your discipline. By training hard, you develop the tenacity of spirit and unwavering mindset needed to succeed in any situation.

2. If you are looking to improve your fighting skills, there is no better way than through rigorous training. By making the effort, you can take your game to the next level.

3. It is important to have a good training routine; if you stick to a consistent plan, you will see results quickly. Stay focused and never give up on your goals!

4. No matter what your skill level, you can always improve and become one percent better each week. Be determined, and never stop working towards your goals – that’s how you really become a champion!

The mindset of a martial artist must be focused on the desire to excel

When it comes to achieving excellence in any field, mindset is key. Martial artists must have a mindset of excellence and strive for greatness. There are several key aspects of a mindset that will help you achieve your desire to excel. Here are three of them:

1. A strong mind
A strong mind gives you the determination and perseverance to achieve your goals. It also inspires you to stay focused during difficult times and keeps you motivated during times of success.

2. A creative and generative attitude
If you follow me, you know how I put a lot of emphasis on creativity and generativity in budo practice. This has been my trademark for over 50 years. The vast majority of my books, articles, courses and training are guided by these principles of generativity.

Having a creative and generative mindset allows you to see opportunities rather than obstacles and allows you to be creative when solving problems or conflicts. It also encourages your dedication to improving your skills, even in the face of difficult challenges.

The generative mindset helps martial artists achieve their goals quickly. But do you know why?

Why does a creative and generative attitude lead to victory in combat?

Doesn’t a victorious attitude in combat requires the ability to solve problems? Because every attack, tactic, and strategy of your opponent can be seen as a problem to be solved, right?

For me, Karate is a method of problem-solving. What do you think about it?

If someone tries to hit you with all their might or strangle you, you have to find a quick solution, don’t you think?

My personal work, research, and practice demonstrate that the generative mindset develops creativity and problem solving, which can lead to success in martial arts practice.

The generative mindset is a state of mind where the individual generates new responses, tactics, and strategies when faced with challenges. This type of process is often associated with inventors and scientists, both of whom are known for their creativity and problem-solving abilities.

The generative mindset can help martial artists in several ways. First, it can help them think outside the box and come up with new ideas for training, tactics, or strategies to defeat their opponents. Secondly, the generative mindset can lead to creativity and innovation when faced with high-level opponents.

3. The quest for excellence
As a martial artist, it is important to maintain an attitude of excellence throughout your training and competition career. This will help you to set high standards for yourself and keep you motivated throughout your journey.

In conclusion, Kyokushinkai is a demanding art that can take you to great heights through the desire to fulfill your potential and that of others. Combine resilience with the desire to achieve and you will reach high levels of excellence.
