A recap of one of the greatest martial arts movies

Fighter in the Wind (2004) is one of the greatest martial arts movies ever made. It tells the story of Choi Baedal, a Korean who travels to Japan and faces humiliation but eventually learns karate and becomes one of Japan’s best fighters. The movie follows his journey from underdog to champion as he overcomes obstacles along the way.

Sometime during his time in Japan, Choi Yeong-Eui chose his Japanese name, Oyama Masutatsu (大山 倍達), which is a transliteration of Baedal (倍達).

Masutatsu Ōyama, more commonly known as Mas Oyama, was a karate master who founded Kyokushin Karate, considered the first and most influential style of full-contact karate.

Bonus video: Combining the powerful lyrics of Eminem’s hit song “Till I Collapse” with clips from the inspiring movie Fighter in the Wind (2004), this mashup is sure to motivate you during any kind of training. From boxing, MMA and Muay Thai to just hitting up your local gym, let Masutatsu “Mas” Oyama show you how it’s done! Enjoy!
