Take part in the KWU SENSHI World Cup for Amateurs

The opportunity awaits at the XVIII International Summer Martial Arts Camp 2024, hosted by the KWU International Professional League and the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation (BKKF). This premier event promises an unforgettable experience filled with intense training, camaraderie, and the thrill of competition.

Mark Your Calendars: June 30th – July 7th, 2024

From June 30 to July 7, 2024, fighters from around the world will gather in Bulgaria for a week of rigorous training and exhilarating matches. At the heart of this camp is the prestigious World Cup Varna for junior and cadet karate kyokushin athletes aged 14 to 21 (which will take place on July 2nd), and the KWU SENSHI World Cup for Amateurs 4-6.07, where martial artists will compete for honor, glory, and cash rewards.

Each category will feature 8 approved competitors. The preliminary fights and semi-finals require fighters to don protective gear, including gloves, helmets, elbow pads, groin, and leg protectors. However, the finals only strip it down to gloves, presenting an actual test of skill and resilience.

KWU SENSHI World Cup for Amateurs: Earn While You Fight

Cash rewards are on the line, motivating fighters to give their all in every match. Here’s the breakdown:

  • First Battle (Qualification): 1000 Euro for victory, 500 Euro for loss
  • Second Battle (Semifinal): 1500 Euro for victory, 1000 Euro for loss
  • Third Battle (Final): 2000 Euro for victory, 1000 Euro for loss – Finals on July 6 during the  SENSHI 22 professionalgala night

KWU SENSHI Rules

The KWU SENSHI World Cup for Amateurs follows strict rules to ensure fair and exciting bouts:

  • Allowed Techniques: All boxing techniques, including spinning back fist and elbow strikes; all kicking techniques; active clinching; grab and attack; sweeps; throws.
  • Prohibited Actions: Hits to the groin, nape, and spine; blows with the inside of the glove; hits against the knee joint; headbutts; restraining the head with one arm while striking with the elbow; striking a fallen opponent; ground and pound; strangleholds; biting.
