The Polish National Kyokushin Seminar was successfully held on January 10-12, 2025, at the MDK “Dom Harcerza” Sports Hall in Krakow, located at ul. Reymonta 18. This special event marked the New Year’s Kagami Biraki celebration and brought together 116 karatekas from across the country.
The seminar’s highlight was the presence of Shihan Javier Lezcano, 7th dan, a World Champion in kumite and kata, who served as the event’s special guest and prominent leader.
Seminar Highlights:
- Four Training Sessions: Participants engaged in intensive two-hour sessions focused on kihon, ido geiko, kata, and combat techniques and tactics.
- Educational Lecture: Dr. Krzysztof Mawlichan, 3rd dan and physician for the PZK national team, delivered an informative session on resuscitation and first aid to promote health and safety in martial arts practice.
- Dojo Operators Conference: Nearly 30 dojo managers participated in a dedicated hour-long conference to discuss current developments, organizational updates, and the training programs within PZK and KWF.
POK, led by Shihan Andrzej Drewniak, organized the event, ensuring attendees’ well-coordinated and enriching experience.
This seminar was an exceptional opportunity to start the year with focus, unity, and dedication, reflecting the true spirit of Kyokushin.
