The 2nd KWU Winter Kyokushin Camp in Tunisia

The 2nd KWU Winter Kyokushin Camp, organized by the Kyokushin World Union (KWU) in collaboration with the Kyokushin African Union (KAU) and the Federation Tunisian Kyokushin Karate and Martial Arts (FTKAM), is set to take place in the scenic city of Monastir, Tunisia, from November 5th to 11th, 2024. This prestigious event is open to all international Kyokushin organizations, welcoming participants from around the globe.

Participant Categories

The camp is open to the following age and weight categories:

  • Boys and Girls: 12-13 years old, 14-15 years old
  • Junior Boys and Girls: 16-17 years old
  • Men and Women: 18 years old and above
  • Veterans (Men): 35 years old and above

Activities and Program

Participants are required to engage in all activities of the camp, ensuring a comprehensive training experience. The program includes intensive training sessions, workshops, and seminars led by esteemed instructors Shihan Francisco Filho and Shihan Aleksandr Pichkunov.

    • 2-time K-1 Grand Prix Champion
    • Absolute Kyokushin World Champion (1999)
    • Completed the 100-man kumite twice (1999)
    • World Champion (1997)
    • 4-time Brazilian Champion
    • 3-time South American Champion
    • Member of the Board of the KWU SENSHI
  • Shihan Aleksandr Pichkunov
    • World Absolute Championship 1999, 3rd place
    • Runner-up at the K-1 World GP 2007 in Hawaii
    • Runner-up at the K-1 World GP 2008
    • Master of Sports of International Class
