In the last days before the championship we will introduce you favorites of the 3rd KWUCHAMP
The forecast based on the current statistics of athletes is nothing more than a forecast. At the World Championship 2015, the most “calculated” forecasts did not concur even by 50%.
Weight category under 90 kg (23 participants)
The winners of previous two World Championships in this weight category are:
- Khachatryan Arsen (Russia);
- Lebo Emanuel (Austria).
In this weight category the winner of the 2nd World Championship under 80 kg Merey Suyunov from Kazakhstan, twice silver medalist of KWU World Championships Alexander Komanov from Bulgaria, twice bronze medalist 42-year-old Spanish fighter Pablo Estensoro and bronze medalist of the 1st KWU World Championship Belarusian Dmitry Sikorski will fight.
2016 KWU European Champion Jean-Paul Jacquot from France will also fight for major medals.
Dmitry Soloviev from Russia, Japanese Jo Miyahara and Marek Wolny from Poland will join the competitive medal race.
Having added 10 kg for two years, Merey Suyunov remains on the list of favorites.
Spanish veteran Pablo Estensoro, due to increased competition, is unlikely to be able to catch on to the podium.
But Alexander Komanov aims only at the gold of the Championship, and he has everything necessary for victory.
The analysis of the favorites is based on the comparison of athletes’ achievements in the period from 2015 to the present day.
However, the forecast based on the current statistics of athletes is nothing more than a forecast. At the World Championship 2015, the most “calculated” forecasts did not concur even by 50%.
Tatami is the place for a feat. Whoever will be ready for the feat on the day of the tournament will win a medal.
