The KWU Kyokushin Open International Championship in Tunisia

The KWU Kyokushin Open International Championship, organized by the Kyokushin World Union (KWU) in collaboration with the Kyokushin African Union (KAU) and the Federation Tunisian Kyokushin Karate and Martial Arts (FTKAM), will be held from November 8 to 10th, 2024, in Monastir, Tunisia. This prominent championship is open to all international Kyokushin organizations, providing a platform for practitioners worldwide to showcase their skills.

Location: Monastir, Tunisia

Participant Categories

The championship will feature kumite competitions in various weight categories for the following age groups:

  • Boys and Girls: 14-15 years old
  • Junior Boys and Girls: 16-17 years old
  • Men and Women: 18 years old and above
  • Veterans (Men): 35 years old and above

Conditions of Participation

Eligible participants include representatives of national federations who have successfully passed their national qualifying championships. Each country can send up to three fighters per weight category, with the following requirements:

  • Age: 14 to 35+ years old
  • Style Qualification: From 4th kyu and higher

Each team may consist of:

  • An official team coach
  • Fighters: Up to 3 participants per weight category

Anti-Doping Control

Winners from 1st to 3rd places will undergo doping tests by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) rules.
