4th KWU German Open in Full Contact Karate Kyokushin – Berlin 2025

The 4th KWU German Open in Full Contact Karate Kyokushin is set to take place in Berlin in 2025, bringing together the best fighters from various national and international Kyokushin organizations. This prestigious tournament, held under the rules of the Kyokushin World Union (KWU), will showcase intense Kumite and Kata competitions for young and adult martial artists.

Kumite Competition

The Kumite discipline will feature fighters from different national and international Kyokushin federations, competing in various age groups:

  • 10 – 11 years (boys & girls)
  • 12 – 13 years (boys & girls)
  • 14 – 15 years (boys & girls)
  • 16 – 17 years (boys & girls)
  • 18 – 21 years (men & women)

In the Kumite discipline, representatives of the national Kyokushin organizations/federations of the respective country are permitted to participate in the age groups 10 – 17 years. Each federal state/country may send up to 4 fighters per weight category. For the age group 18 – 21 years, participation is limited to a maximum of 2 fighters per federal state/country and weight category

Kata Competition

In the Kata discipline, participation is limited to a maximum of 2 participants per federal state/country in each age category. 

Tournament Regulations

This tournament will follow the KWU rules, which can be accessed on the official KWU website. Fighters and coaches are encouraged to familiarize themselves with these rules before the competition.
