Bogdan Shumarov set to face Maikel Astur at SENSHI 5

SENSHI 5 main event will produce a stunning fight for the WAKO PRO European title.

The event that is taking place in Varna, Bulgaria on February 22.

One of the finest Bulgarian kickboxers – Bogdan Shumarov will face Estonia’s Maikel Astur in a -75 kg fight conducted under the K-1 rules.

The 23-year-Old Bulgarian is a multiple national kickboxing and muay thai medalist. He’s a Balkan and World muay thai and kickboxing amateur champion. Shumarov is also one of the few Bulgarians to ever capture a WAKO PRO belt. He did it in 2017 when he won the European title in the -71 kg category, low kick.

His adversary – Maikel Astur is also a top-notch fighter. Last year the Estonian won a bronze medal at the WAKO World kickboxing championships, while in 2018 he claimed silver. Astur is also a two-time national kickboxing champ.

Fighters from all around the world will take part in this elite fight night. This time three dutch kickboxing legends will be special guests of the event. Four-time K-1 World Heavyweight Grand Prix Winners Ernesto Hoost and Semmy Schilt, and the three-time K-1 World Heavyweight Grand Prix Champion Peter Aerts. They will be joined by the KWU General Secretary Shihan Alexandr Pichkunov, who is a finalist in the K-1 Grand Prix Series from 2007 and 2008. The special guests are also expected to be refereeing to some of the bouts!
