On May 10, 2025, the city of Leipzig, Germany, will host the 7th IFK World Full Contact Kyokushin Karate Championship – a world-class event that will unite the karate community from all corners of the globe.
The championship is organized by the International Karate Federation (IFK), IFK Germany, and the “AktivSport SAXONIA” dojo, and will take place at the QUARTERBACK Immobilien ARENA. Nine tatamis will be set up for the event, which will welcome approximately 600 athletes from nearly 40 countries, with a total of over 1,500 active participants. An audience of over 2,500 spectators is expected, underscoring the significance of the event on the global martial arts scene.
The Bulgarian National Team is Fully Prepared
The Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation (BKKF) has announced the official team of 27 competitors who will represent our country in four age groups – from 14 to over 21 years old. Here are the athletes representing the country:

The Bulgarian Delegation Leaves for Germany on May 8
The national team will depart for Leipzig on May 8, where they will have the opportunity for final training and adaptation before the competition. The World Championship will be held on May 10 and will take place in one competition day, where the best fighters from around the world will face off under the IFK flag.
