Yesterday, April 29, 2015, in Moscow,
in the Government House of the Russian Federation, the meeting of co-chairman of the World Kyokushin Union, Vice Prime Minister of Russian Federation Mr. Yury Trutnev and the president of the World Karate Organization Shinkyokushinkai Mr. Kenji Midori took place.
The two sides exchanged views on the state of development of Kyokushinkarate as a full-contact style of karate in the world and the prospects of its promotion in the international Olympic movement.
The sides confirmed their intention to seek the inclusion of karate in the Olympics, based on 2 rules – the competition combats by non-contact rules and the competition combats by full-contact rules.
