KWU International Professional League’s camps – the factory of champions

From May 5 to 8, Varna hosted the second camp of the KWU International Professional League of the year. Traditionally, four kickboxing greats arrived in Bulgaria – Peter Aerts, Semmy Schilt, Ernesto Hoost, and Albert Kraus.

Kyokushin karatekas, kickboxers, and coaches from all over the country gathered again in the modern multifunctional hall “SENSHI Gym”. During the masterclasses, the legends of K-1 divided the participants into four groups, so they could pay attention to each one individually.

Each of them trained separately, and on the last day, the fighters visited the gym, where they emphasized exercises for strength and endurance. Both known effective techniques and new combinations were developed.

Keeping the distance, clinching, defending, and building attacks were some of the highlights of the second Professional League’s training camp of the year. These events increase the quality and the team spirit of the fighters.

As a result of the work of the four-time world champion of K-1 Semmy Schilt with a group of instructors, coaches, and senseis, modern trends in training will be implemented in all clubs in the country. At a special session, Shihan Asen Asenov worked out important techniques of the full contact in Kyokushin Karate.

The camp of the KWU International Professional League ended with a lot of positive emotions. Through these events, the level of martial arts in Bulgaria rises significantly. The organizers promise many surprises for the participants in the future and it was hinted that another big name from the world of martial arts will soon arrive in Bulgaria.
