Messages from the IFK officials about the 5th World Open Romania 2017

The 5th IFK Kyokushin World Open Knockdown Tournament

will take place on 27th – 28th of May 2017in Sibiu – Romania.

Greeting messages

This is an KNOCKDOWN TOURNAMENT OPEN for all Kyokushin organisations. Competitors must represent their national federation and they must have minimum 2 years experience in Knockdown Karate.

Registration deadline: April 21th , 2017.
No late entries will be accepted!

Hanshi Steve Arneil 10th Dan – Founder of the IFK

I hope this event will see spectacular fights and I am sure worthy champions.
This event would not take place without the hard work and dedication of the organisers so I thank Sensei Christian Hirsch and his team.
I also thank the officials who have a thankless role in making the event seamless and to the IFK Chief Referee who had the role of preparing these judges for the event.
Good luck to the Athletes, I hope you perform to the best of your abilities and share wonderful experiences.
Finally to the IFK Executive Board and my Country Representatives, I thank you for your contribution that has placed the organisation where it is today. Osu

 


Shihan David Pickthall 6th Dan – IFK Vice President

david-pickthallOn behalf of the International Federation of Karate Kyokushinkai I welcome all the athletes and officials to the 5th IFK Open World Championship in Sibiu, Romania.
On this occasion we have chosen to accept further age division by adding U21 to the event. This inclusion gives the possibilities for young athletes to test themselves on the highest level of our sport.
I am sure the experiences the competitors and officials will share will be remembered for many years to come.
Our thanks go to the organisers of this event that have worked tirelessly to bring this championship to fruition.
Once again we make our competition open to other organisations and styles in the hope we bring the world of Full Contact Karate closer together once more. Osu

alex decupatIt has been my privilege over the last 25yrs as IFK Chief Referee to be a part of events and tournaments such as this therefore, l would like to take this opportunity to welcome all fighters, officials and spectators to the 5th IFK World tournament here in beautiful historic Sibiu. To the fighters your journey through your training and preparation for this tournament will have been long and hard, l wish you all the best in your endeavours today and l am confident the officials will do their best for you. I know that fighters and officials will gain much experience throughout this prestigious event and l sure the spectators will be looking forward to an excellent tournament. Osu

 


Sensei Christian Hirsch 3rd Dan – Country representative IFK ROMANIA

sensei-cristi-hirsch_hirsch-dojo-sibiuIt is an honor and a privilege to be able to organize, for the first time in Romania, after more than 50 years of Kyokushin existence and over 30 years of Kyokushin presence in Romania, the 5th edition of the IFK Kyokushin World Tournament. I consider this Championship to be the event of my life, I think it will write a page in the history of Romanian Kyokushin. We are honored and thankful for the trust invested in us by Hanshi Steve Arneil, by the IFK Board and by all IFK members. We would like to address many thanks to all officials, partners, sponsors and our friends who gave us all their support in organizing this event. We welcome all foreign delegations to Sibiu – Romania, we hope you will have a pleasant time in our beautiful city, and we wish the best of luck to all competitors who will participate in this tournament! Osu
