National Referee Course was held on Saturday, February 15th, IFK Switzerland hosted its first edition of the event, providing an essential learning opportunity for referees and judges. A total of 53 brown and black belts participated, refining their understanding of Kumite and Kata rules while improving their officiating skills.

The course began with an interactive quiz on the rules and regulations of Kumite and Kata, ensuring participants had a strong theoretical foundation. Following this, attendees analyzed past fights, discussing real-life challenges referees face in officiating Kumite matches. The importance of clear and confident signaling by judges was also emphasized through practical exercises.
In-Depth Kata Evaluation
In the afternoon, participants reviewed Kata performances from the last World Championship, engaging in discussions about the complexities of marking high-quality katas. Understanding the nuances of Kata evaluation is crucial for maintaining fair and accurate judging standards.
