Rapport from the NKKO Norway (KWF) winter camp 2019

From Wednesday the 30th of January to Sunday

the 3rd of February Shihan Geir Havreberg, Sensei Frode Robberstad and members of Etne Karate Club organized the annual winter camp.

This year we had a record high attendance with 220 students from five different organizations, five different countries and 77 black belts.

Our instructors this year were:

Shihan Lezkano – KWF
Shihan Havreberg – KWF/NKKO
Shihan Erga – KWF/NKKO
Sensei Stringer – IFK
Sensei Estensoro – KWF
Sensei Markwell – IFK

The NKKO winter camp is now the largest Kyokushin camp in Norway and is a perfect place to develop cooperation between the different Kyokushin organizations in Norway.

We were also very happy to have Shihan Brandon Denito from Sweden as our guest at the camp and are looking forward to a closer cooperation with him. Shihan Denito is an experienced fighter and instructor.

This year we also organized a “National Kyokushin Team” with the best fighters from all of the Norwegian Kyokushin organizations. We believe that this is the best way to improve our fighters and develop Kyokushin in Norway.

Without the support from Shinkyokushin, So-Kyokushin, IFK and NKKO this team would not be possible. The national Kyokushin team will attend major tournaments and represent Norwegian Kyokushin regardless of organizations.
