But that’s not all. The SENSHI 22 has many more surprises in store for martial arts fans – tickets for the event can be purchased from Eventim.bg.
On July 6th, two of Bulgaria’s most promising and beloved fighters, Atanas Bozhilov and Eduard Aleksanyan, will defend their European SENSHI titles against tough opponents. There will also be an epic return of another Bulgarian fighter. Dragomir Petrov will return to the SENSHI ring after a six-month break. Delyan Georgiev will defend his name against an experienced Brazilian in an exciting KWU Open rules match.
The gala has prepared many more surprises. A special guest at SENSHI 22 will be one of the biggest names in martial arts. Directly from Japan, Shihan Akira Masuda is coming to Bulgaria for the XVIII International Summer Martial Arts Camp 2024. Known as “The Last Samurai,” he is the 12th fighter in the world to complete one of the toughest tests in Kyokushin karate – the “100-man“ kumite challenge. Created by Kyokushin founder Masutatsu Oyama, this challenge involves facing 100 fighters in two-minute sparring sessions. Oyama designed it to push a fighter beyond their limits, transforming their spirit and body into steel, surpassing their capabilities, and reaching an understanding of absolute truth. In the modern history of Karate Kyokushin, only a few have managed to endure and overcome this test. One of them is Shihan Akira Masuda. 1991, he defeated all 100 opponents in just 3 hours and 22 minutes.
Other notable guests at SENSHI 22 include KWU SENSHI referees and instructors Semmy Schilt and Ernesto Hoost, Albert Kraus, world-renowned martial arts masters Shihan Francisco Filho, Shihan Glaube Feitosa, Sensei Everton Teixeira, Sensei Tariel Nikoleishvili, and Sensei Zahari Damyanov.
Don’t miss SENSHI 22 – a clash of strength, will, and fighting spirit on the beach under the stars at St. St. Constantine and Helena on July 6th.
