VIP guests of SENSHI with a seminar on KWU International Professional League

World stars in martial arts arrive in Bulgaria for the fifth edition of SENSHI. The much-anticipated fight show is scheduled for February 22 at the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna. 

The honorary guests include three Dutch kickboxing legends – four-time K-1 champions Ernesto Hoost and Semmy Schilt, as well as three-time K-1 champion Peter Aerts.

They will be joined by Shihan Aleksandr Pichkunov – Secretary-General of Kyokushin World Union. The legendary fighter has been a finalist in K-1 Grand Prix in 2007 and 2008. The Russian is also a bronze medalist form a Karate Kyokushin World championship in 2005. He’s a silver medalist from the Russian Kyokushin championship in 2004 and winner of the Russian Kyokushin cup in 2001.

Special guests will also play an important role during SENSHI 5 – they will be referees of some of the battles.

Shihan Ramil Gabbasov, a KWU Board Member and Chairman of the Russian Union of Martial Arts (RUMA), will also watch live the 9 battles from the upcoming SENSHI.

Simultaneously with the fighting show, on February 20th and 21st KWU International Professional League will organize a seminar for instructors, competitors, and judges – by the rules of the professional league. There will be a diploma given to every graduate. A request for participation can be submitted by people over the age of 16 and having at least 4th kyu rank (registration form below).

The training will be conducted by Ernesto Hoost, Peter Aerts, Semmy Shilt, Shihan Ramil Gabbasov, Shihan Aleksandr Pichkunov, as well as the Bulgarian participation by Shihan Ivo Kamenov – the Chairman of KWU’s International Professional League and Chairman of Bulgarian Association of Martial Sports, and Shihan Asen Asenov – the first Bulgarian gold medallist from an European Kyokushin championships. He’s also a European kickboxing champion in 1994 in the -90 kg category. Shihan Asenov is a Board Member of the Bulgarian Kyokushin Karate Federation.

All expenses for accommodation, meals, and participation in the event will be covered by the KWU International Professional League. All participants are required to provide their own transport and equipment.
